FIrst Wednesday Lectures, Upcoming Classes and Dining Out

If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend a First Wednesday Lecture sponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council, take a look on for topics planned across the state for January 7: Georgia O’Keeffe in Norwich, Monticello in Manchester, the Appalachian Mountain Club’s New Hampshire hut system at the St. J Atheneum, and much more.  Unable to attend this week’s talk? Continue to check for next month’s First Wednesday Lectures.

Start the new year learning a new skill. It might be Irish dance, or Intro to Welding for Women... or if you need to unwind after a busy holiday season, consider attending one of the many classes posted on for Thursday, January 8: yoga, meditation, pottery, poetry reading.  Additional class details can be found by clicking on any of the listings.

Lastly, treat yourself to dinner this Wednesday at Three Tomatoes Trattoria and part of the proceeds will benefit AVA Gallary/ Alliance for Visual Arts.  Or if you are out on Thursday evening, be sure to stop by West Fairlee Church for their Soup Night.
