Healing Arts & Crafts Fair this Sunday in Vershire

Join us in Vershire on Sunday!

The Vershire Women's Wellness Circle is excited to present the second annual Healing Arts & Crafts Fair this Sunday, November 6 from 2-5 p.m. in the Vershire Town Center. The intention of the event is to showcase women of Vershire and the surrounding area with their talents, interests, businesses, projects and organizations relating to health and healing, crafts and culture. The VWWC promotes all aspects of well-being for women with the understanding that this benefits and supports the whole community. While the vendors and presenters will be women, all are welcome at this free, family-friendly event.

The entire building will be filled with displays, activities and programs, starting with greeters in the foyer handing out a directory of the presenters and vendors, along with refreshments by donation. In the main hall around twenty booths will display everything from climate change activism to women in Middle Eastern culture, from spiritual guidance of various traditions to local women's resources, ceramic art, authors and musicians. Main hall demonstrations will include quilting, wool spinning and Zumba. Fair-goers will get to experience first-hand the natural healing arts of massage, Reiki and Christian Science as well as writing activities, maple syrup tasting and working together on a community crazy quilt. The Historical Society wing will host presentations and full healing sessions.

The lower level will house the children's corner with a book nook from the Vershire Community Library and supervised activities with Sarah Wright of the Vershire Riding School and Little Red Riding School. Parents can shop, enjoy the activities or take in a presentation while the little ones play.

This event follows the delightful Healing Gardens Tour this past summer, which raised about $150, some of which will be spent on local farm produce for a community feast where vendors and presenters can continue the networking once the Fair is closed.  The cooking will all be handled by a small crew of local guys who have volunteered to support the event and who love to cook.
