On Sunday we took the dogs and our 18-foot, 32 year-old canoe to Lake Ninevah. It was a glorious morning. The lake was glistening and the loon was calling. The dogs hopped gleefully into the canoe and we set out across the lake. We saw the momma loon with her little one swimming along next to her and later an osprey swooped over us and flew off into the distance. Such a quiet, peaceful place.
I've tried to capture it in this painting. I hope you get a sense of the stillness. And the beauty.
