The Azores have much to offer

No better time to flee/fly away then now

I recently saw a list serve posting by Chip Ashley regarding a vacation spot in the Azores. I reached out to him for some more info as I thought it would make for a great getaway for someone this time of year, and a nice story at least for the rest of us who cannot go. He gave me the name of the contact person and I reached out to Katy Ward who is the founder/owner of Travel Honey.

The Azores are nine volcanic islands in the Atlantic Ocean, which are only a 4.5 hour direct flight from Boston. The pristine islands are Portugal's hidden gem, where you can enjoy spectacular vistas, volcanic lakes, hot springs, and black sand beaches. There is amazing hiking, biking, kayaking, bird watching, paragliding, whale watching, diving and golfing. You’ll also find cultural pursuits like museums, theaters, historic villages, and festivals.

Travel Honey  offers a unique way to explore the Azores: you'll get the expert guidance of a tour, but without being tied to a schedule or tour mates.  After booking, they will connect one-on-one with you to build personalized, day-by-day suggestions with the activities and restaurants that you'll love best. They also provide accommodations, a rental car, an on-island concierge, and authentic daily experiences, such as a sustainable farm tour and cooking class.

The folks at Travel Honey [We] know the Azores inside and out (and even own a house there!), so you won't miss the must sees, but you'll also get the insider's scoop on all the local favorites. We vet and test everything and only recommend the best.

The Azores will not remain a secret for long, so learn more about Travel Honey Trips here:
